Regarding pictures from the Meet and Greet.....

I am going to create an online photo album for the website.

If you took digital pictures at the event would like to have them included in the photo album. Please do the following:

1. Go to http://www.snapfish.com
2. Create an account (it is free)
3. Upload your pictures
4. Share your pictures with me (my email address is mvrc@aol.com)
-----
I also have a photobucket account. You can upload your pictures there and share them with me. (This is a better option)

After I have gathered pictures from various people I will create an online photo album and post it on the website.

Thanks

The Yearbook is now on the website.

To View the yearbook Click 'Yearbook' from the left side Navigation Panel.

Everyone be sure to send a BIG THANK YOU to Juan Jones for using his resourses to have the yearbook scanned to create the PDF file that I needed.

I wanted to upload the yearbook to the website, but was not looking forward to scanning a 130+ document. Thanks to Juan I did not have to do that.

Unfortunately, I was unable to attend the April “Meet & Greet,” because of a work related matter, however based on what I’ve heard, it seems as though the event was a “Stone Cold Gass.” I wanted to take a moment to send a shout out to Loryn Partlow Owens, who I recently ran into near her home residence. Our meeting, albeit limited in duration, was filled with moments of recollection and laughter. Thank you Loryn, your as beautiful and witty as ever. And to my fellow classmates, I look forward to visiting with you all during our upcoming summer events

Ms. Gray sent this message via the website. I created her a guest account and invited her to attend our reunion.

Congratulations to the class of 1979. That was the first year of my career. I taught Biology and was the cheerleading sponsor for both the varsity and jr. varsity squads. This is a fabulous website and I've seen some of my girls here(the cheerleaders) You have done a magnificent job with this. I've just retired as a principal and looking back please know that you give all of us a reason to be proud. Those were "the good ole days".

I'm so sorry I wasn't able to make the Meet and Greet last week. I was not feeling well, but it sounds like everyone had a great time. I hope we are able to schedule a tour of the new "McKinley" as part of the reunion. If you haven't been in the new building, you will be amazed!

Everyone be blessed and I look forward to seeing you in August!

The Meet and Greet looks like it was a success. Everyone looks so happy and excited to see one another I know they had a good time there. I could not make it but looking at all of the photos it seems everyone was having a ball. I plan on being at the reunion events so I will see everyone there. McKinley Tech class of 79 looks good ! !

Greetings Everyone! I had so much fun at our fund raiser gathering... I so appreciate all the smiles, laughter, and hugs that were shared among us...

When I awoke Sunday morning, I looked as if I had an "after love-making glow" because so many endorphins had flooded my bloodstream...lol
Your joyful vibes worked on me like medicine :)

Once again, thank you all for being so fun-loving and delightful... Truly, love does make the world go around...

C'mon August!

Sincerely,
LL

Bless God! The meet and greet overwhelmed me with energy and joy. I laughed and smiled so much my face began to hurt. Words cannot express the warmth felt in the sphere of the place. Everyone looked so very young as if we drank from the fountain of youth. Look like God is on our side. Kudos to the committee!!! Lookin forward to the reunion,

Hey there to all of you!!
I was so saddened that I couldn't make the 4/25 event.
It would be 'icing on the cake' if we had one or two more socials planned between now and July '09.

Where are our teachers? A few have checked in.
Where is Mr. Graham, Annie Harding, Mr. Mayo, and others...?

btw - I'm planning to drag my brother, Vic, 'aka - Dr. Love' to the festivities!!

Peace and Blessing to each of you and your families!!

The excitement is definitely in and all around this website of people re-igniting contact with familiar faces and buddies from our beloved Mckinley Tech.

My youngest child is getting a kick out of all the stories I tell her while surfing in and out of classmates profiles.

The memories and spirit of our class will always echo throughout my mind and bring back the feeling of freedom that I had as a teenager.

I am enjoying this touch of "class" at this stage of my life.

Hello Techites,

All though I did not recognize anyone at the "Meet n Greet" my daughter and I had some fun for the little time that we were there. I was truly disappointed that I didn't recognize anyone like I was hoping to. That's why my daughter and I didn't stay long, because I just didn't know anyone and I felt like a outsider. It was hard watching everyone greeting, laughing, hugging and going down memory lane. Prayerfully I will be able to attend any other functions leading up to the actual "30 Reunion Weekend Gala" coming up in August.

After a full year of being without work, the Lord just blessed me with an assignment starting today with the Montgomery County Government thru ManPower Temp Agency. It is suppose to be for (1) month definitely, and who knows after that.

God Bless You All

Mr. Thomas Graham (Social Studies Teacher)

Hello, Class of '79 of the Mighty Tech. I am so pleased to have gotten in touch with so many of the students of that year. I am really pleased that Joseph Williams (Peppy) informed me of the reunion and all that has happened. I read some of the profiles of the students and I am really happy to know that so many of you have done so well and so many things! (laugh, Sheila. I can still hear the laughter of Shelia Lyles.) Marion, congratulations on putting the website together. "Well done, thy good and faithful servant." I look forward to seeing all of you in August at the reunion.

Hello Family,

I just wanted to say this is a WONDERFUL site that is a blessing for all "Techites" from the class of '79. Many kudos to the fabulous people who put all these features together and made it possible for us to share fond memories and reconnect with old friends. I found out about the reunion a little late but thought I could still make it. Unfortunately, it turns out my travel plans conflict and can not be rearranged. Nonetheless, thanks to this site, I have made contact with several terrific people that I have missed and wanted to find for 30 years! So, thanks again for all the hard work, and I sincerely wish everyone a fantastic time at the reunion. I'll see you at the 40th!

Hi Everyone,

I want to congratulate everyone involved in creating this website. I was browsing the internet to see if there was any information about our 30th reunion and came across this page. Looking at the photos and reading about what everyone has been doing is since we graduated has been fun. I look forward to seeing you at the reunion.

Best Wishes

Monica Carter

Oh, What a blessing. I've been contacted by one of our fellow classmates who wants to donate their kidney to me and give me THE GIFT OF LIFE! I'm overwhelmed
I'll keep you all updated as we proceed with testing. don't want to identify the donor because I haven't spoken to her about me sharing the news, but I had to tell someone! (smile)

Meta Gwyn (Sherwood)

Hello fellow classmates. After seeing familiar names and some not too familiar, I just want to take a minute to say “Great Job” the website is fantastic. See you at the reunion.

06/10/09 11:31 PM #82

Sheila Lyles

Thank you to the classmate who is donating the kidney to my longtime sista-friend Tracye Johnson!
It's kind of a 'paying it forward' thing -- Tracye helped me through a recent difficult situation and now someone is going to help her through a difficult situation.

That's what it's all about!!

A 'shout out' to Harvey Graham. I remember all of the fun and good work that we did in his class.
What I remember most is how we would 'cut up' so bad and so often and Mr. Graham telling me, 'Lyles, I love you, but if you don't do my work I'm going to fail you so that you can repeat my class next year.'

Before I go, WHERE IS ANNIE HARDING????

Peace and blessings!
