TOMLINSON D. TODD,
76, a retired driver's education teacher in Washington high schools who had been a radio show host here during the 1940s and 1950s, died of a heart attack March 27 at his home in Washington.
Mr. Todd taught driver's education at McKinley, Coolidge, Spingarn, Roosevelt and Wilson high schools in Washington from 1954 until he retired in 1982. He had taught at private driving schools in Maryland after his retirement.
He was a host, producer and director of the radio show, "Americans All." The show opposed racial discrimination and segregation in Washington. During the 1940s, Mr. Todd participated in demonstrations at Washington area restaurants that refused to serve blacks.
He was born in Reading, Pa., and grew up in Washington. He graduated from Armstrong High School and Lincoln University.
After college, Mr. Todd worked as a clerk at the Social Security Administration in Baltimore and later for the D.C. Recorder of Deeds.
Survivors include a sister, M. Josephine Walker of Washington.
