Tammie,

Wow! You were one of the first young people that I met when moving to DC. From Noyes elementary school, to Langley Jr. High and finally senior graduation from McKinley our friendship blossomed throught the years! What wonderful cherished memories.

I will forever be reminded of your warm loving spirit and a smile that would light up a room. May your family, extended family, friends, and all who loved you be comforted by our sovereign Lord during this time of bereavement. May you rest in perfect peace for you will be forever in my heart.

As a family we will come together to celebrate Shirley’s life in June 2023 with more details and information to come this month.

If you would like to get in contact with the family please email Darrell Claiborne (Shirley’s nephew) at darrellclaiborne@gmail.com and he will connect you with the family.

Class of 79 -  Check out this alumni jersey which supports the current McKinley Tech Football Team!  I didn't think I would like it in black, but with the burgundy, white and gray ... it's nice!  Brian Sloan and Arthur Ashe, from the Class of '81, purchased the uniforms for the current team.  Proceeds from the sale of these jerseys will go towards purchasing pads for the team!  If you're interested, contact Brian at 302-753-0233.
