When we lose siblings, we are struck with double whammy of considering our mortality and the loss of yet another person who have known us our entire lives.  Remember the good times and charish eachother.

You want a wake up call, scroll through the In Memory section of this website.  We have lost so many good, kind and loving  classmates over the years.  And the trend toward increasing numbers each year, is certainly something you must take note of.  Please take this Christmas Season as an opportunity to enjoy life and spread cheer among your family and friends.  Tomorrow is not promised to any of us.  Take time to raise you head to the sky and give thanks to the Most High.  Silently honor your departed loved ones and our classmates with a smile and wink.  We don't know who is watching over us.

Be kind, forgive others and step up when called upon. And New Year's Eve, let's all raise a glass to our old friends, who are gone but not forgotten.

My heart is so heavy ...  there are so many losses occurring ...  please pray for our classmates and their families -- grief is a process and we all handle it differently:

• Our classmate, Timothy Harris, celebrated the life of his son, Courtney "CT" Earl Harris earlier today at Evangel Cathedral. 
•  
• Our classmate, Patricia "Patty" Johnson, recently lost her Mom.  Please continue to keep Patty and her family in prayer!

And today, we were notified of the death of our classmate, Norma Jean Hood. She passed yesterday at Sibley Hospital.  We will provide more information when we receive it.

I love you Class of 1979 and I thank you for beautiful memories !!!

I am sitting in shock right now in regards to Norma.  She was such a sweet person.   Although I had not heard from her in a while, even after all of these years since we graduated,  she would reach out to me via this message forum just to say "hi" and see how I was doing.  May she rest in peace.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Norma. I last saw her at Tech's 40th class reunion and we chatted and reminisced about high school.  She was very comical. RIP old friend!

Hello Techites,  

As I read through so many beautiful condolences, to celebrate our former classmates, I also want to celebrate those who remain, the class of 79, we in our 60's ya'll!!!  Be sure you live life to the fullest, no, there are no words to express those who have transitioned to our eternal home, so soon, but those who know and love God, they're no longer in pain.  They're rejoicing with family and friends who have welcomed them home, to God be the glory.  So it's not good bye, but see you later...we have been blessed we lived to know so many, we got to share their stories as we conversated, laughed and loved on each other.  I didn't realized the number of messages I've missed, b/c I haven't been on the site for awhile, one was from Norma Hood, a beautiful spirit, we would lose contact and catch up, and didn't miss a beat! ... and others we've lossed it hit me.  So keep living!  Keep God close, what will your legacy say about you...how you love and trusted our lord and saviour? As our familes grow, we lose some but always birth new people in your circle, then introduce them to our awesome God. Please know he got this, everything and everyone belongs to him, we're blessed to have known so many. Never take it for granted, always celebrate what you have, and what you've lossed. It's life, live in a way we show gratitude for it everyday.  Trust, love, and  believe this is not the last you'll see of  those who have gone before us.  Always keep the faith and share his mercy!
