I am living a blessed and wonderful life. I have a beautiful home, great career I would not change, wonderful husband - Harold - and a loving extended family. My husband and I are fortunate enough to travel often - Next big trip is a non-kill safari to Kenya for the "big 50".
Upon graduation from McKinley, I attended the University of the District of Columbia where I pledged Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. - one of the best experiences of my life. After UDC, I became an editor for McGraw-Hill Publications - the World Aviation Directory and other aviation-related publications. After editing for a while, I wanted to change career paths and decided to go to law school. My law school exprerience led me to a career of advocacy for Disability Rights, specifically Mental Health law/advocacy. I am now working for the District of Columbia Department of Mental Health as Director of Consumer and Family Affairs - where I impact Mental Health systems change on behalf of direct users of mental health services as well as their family members. God has truly blessed me in allowing me to make a positive difference/impact on people's lives. I love and enjoy what I have been called to do.
I cannot beieve it has been 30 years since we graduated - it seems like only yesterday! Time really does fly when you enjoy life. I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion activities.
