Janice Boston Wallace

I have been truly blessed since graduating from McKinley. Married for 24 years and blessed with four wonderful sons ages 24, 22, 15 and 11.

After high school, I attended Strayer College, UDC, Univ. of MD, and finally graduated Magna Cum Laude from Strayer University in 2001. I received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Information Systems.

I have worked for the federal government as a civilian employee for 27 years and counting. I spent 14 years working at the Pentagon as a civilian and yes, I was working in the building the tragic day of 911. I currently work for the Treasury Department, Financial Management Services in Hyattsville, MD. I plan to work 5 -7 more years and then retire.

I have my own wellness business which I work on the side. I educate families how to live healthy and how to have a healthy and safe home environment. Also, I teach a military style fitness boot camp class at 5:00 AM, 5 days a week. I am a certified personal trainer and certified aerobics instructor. I love teaching kickboxing.

An active member of Crossover Church in Hyattsville, MD for 14 years, serving in the liturgical dance ministry and Fit for the Kingdom fitness ministry.

I love to travel and have visited several Caribbean Islands. I plan to cruise the seas again this year.

I have many fond memories at McKinley. My fondest memories are when I performed with the Flag Twirlers. All who knew me probably remember me as being quiet and reserved. Even though I was an out of bound student, I met and maintained several friendships since high school.

Being a Techite was a great experience for me. I am looking forward to seeing you all soon.
