Well its that time again, you know the 51st birthday for me along with a whole bunch of us, so what I decided to do is have a celebration. I heard that some if not all of the techites hang-out at this place call Optimism, located at 3301 12th St. NE, Washington, DC, which were my stomping grounds during my Brookland and Slowe Elementary, Taft Jr. High and Mckinley Tech era. I Iived at 9th and Monroe St NE, so I am very familiar with the neighborhood, but never been to the Optimism lounge, until two week ago, when I dropped by to plan a birthday celebration. My family and I will be there, hope to see you all there!!

I talked w/Dr. Owens (band teacher from Tech) and he wanted me to let you know about the annual all classes Tech worship service. It will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2011 8:00 am and 11:00 am services. The minister for the 8:00 am serivce is the Rev. Kevin Richardson class of '79. The minister for the 11:00 am service is the Rev. Dr. Herbet Jackson class of '77. There will be a special guest presentation of Dr. George Rhoads, the first Black principal of McKinley Tech in the 60's. Please feel free to share in one if not both services in worship w/other Techites and please pass the word to other Techites. This is the Tech way...

Happy Holidays, I posted on the message forum dated 1/4/2011, regarding my 50th B-Day event that I have plan, on the 24th of January I will turn 50, along with everybody who came out in 79 or born in 61, I would like to wish everyone happy 50th when the time come or if it has pass, I'm planning a prayer dinner at my home at 5:30pm then following will be the dance at 9:00pm at Karma Lounge, 800 Shoppers Way in the Blvd, in Largo, Md, the date is Saturday, January 22, 2011, free before 11:00pm. Setting Subscription Options for User Forums

By default, no one will receive emails from the user forums. If you would like to receive emails from the forums you must changed your subscription options as follows:

1. Select User Forums from the Navigation Panel
2. Click on a Forum List (ex. Social Events)
3. If you would like to receive an email each time a new topic is posted to any forum, click ‘YES’ next to the Email all new posts? option.
4. If you would like to receive an email each time a new topic is posted to the forum you are currently viewing, select “YES” next the Email new posts in this forum? option.
5. You can also subscribe to all new responses posted in a specific thread once a thread has been started.

Adding Pictures to Your Profile

Pictures must be saved in jpg format before they can be uploaded.

1. Logon onto the website
2. Click Edit/Upload Photos from the left hand menu panel
3. Click Upload new Photo
4. Click 'Add Files'
5. Go to the location on your computer where the file is located and click on the file
6. Click 'Open'
7. Click 'Upload Files'
8. The Uploaded percentage will increase until it gets to 100%. Wait until the photo page is displayed.
9. After the photo is displayed click SAVE Changes.
