Divinely Decadent Desserts Hosts a Grand Opening Celebration

Saturday, April 17, 2010, Divinely Decadent Desserts will celebrate the grand opening of its storefront bakery in the Brookland neighborhood of Ward 5 Washington, DC.  Located at 2703 12th Street, NE, near the Rhode Island Avenue Metrorail station, this is Divinely Decadent Desserts first store in Washington, DC.  The bakery opened for business on March 7, 2010.

The 1,600 square foot bakery features an exciting menu of decadent dessert items including Michelle’s Cheesecake Tarts, Joy’s Red Velvet cupcakes, and Daddy’s Southern Sweet Potato Pie, just to name a few.  The bakery also offers catering for guests.

“Brookland has embraced our 12th Street location,” said Carlynn Fuller, Baker and Co-Owner of Divinely Decadent Desserts.  “We are pleased to be located in Ward 5 and hope to become an even bigger part of this great community.”

To officially celebrate the new bakery, Divinely Decadent Desserts will host a grand opening event on Saturday, April 17th from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.   The grand opening celebration will include free samples, face painting for the kids, and giveaways.

Also, as an official kick-off, owners Carlynn Fuller and Cris Flack will be joined by Ward 5 Council member Harry Thomas in a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
